Nestled in the small Wolds hamlet of Rowley the property dates originally from the late 1920s and was built as an estate cottage for the nearby Rowley Manor. Rowley Manor was a rectory until 1928 when it was purchased by a local shipping family, Filmer Wilson of the Ellermann Wilson Line, and the Tranby Croft Scandal.
