This is a delightful garden of many parts: there is a sheltered courtyard with stone flags overlooking the paddock, a sunken garden terrace that faces south, a pond, playhouse and sandpit, and sweeping areas of lawn intersected by walls clad in foliage and all connected by meandering paths that circumvent the house and garden. The drive itself sweeps down past timber gates to a large parking and turning area with the garage lying to the front of the house with further outbuildings to the east and west. A kitchen garden with orchard sits on the south western boundary, including a green house and potting shed. There are different varieties of apples, blackberries, raspberries and loganberries. The 3/4 acre paddock lies to the east, bounded by timber fencing and overlooked by the house, with weatherproof stone and timber barn adjacent. The whole is bordered to the north by a green lane that provides wonderful walking opportunities into Malton, past neighbouring woodland and across open fields. Beyond lie panoramic views of the North York Moors.
